Friends of the Garden
The Friends of Wollongong Botanic Garden was formed in 1981.

The Friends’ objectives are to:

  • foster public interest in the activities and development of the Wollongong botanic Garden.
  • promote horticulture within the City of Wollongong.
  • raise funds to enhance the Botanic Collection and develop sections of the Garden in accordance with the Master Plan and to extend the horticultural library.
  • provide members with the opportunity to meet people with similar interests and exchange ideas.
  • learn propagation techniques in preparation for plant sales.

Regular monthly guided walks are conducted on the first Sunday of each month at 2.30pm starting at the Discovery Centre (December and January excluded).

Frogs’ Hollow
Frog’s Hollow is a fundraising group which sells hand made items, both within the Garden and at the Community Booth in the Mall, to raise funds for Garden projects.

Meetings are held at the Garden’s Discovery Centre (entrance via Madoline Street) at 10.00am on the second Saturday of February, April (AG<), June, August, October and December.

Newsletters are mailed quarterly.  If you would like to become involved with this energetic and forward-looking group, please phone for further details – 4225 9082

Philanthropic Fund
Wollongong Botanic Garden recently established a Philanthropic fund to allow the community to assist in funding large projects throughout the Garden.
