Getting there

Wollongong is located in the beautiful Illawarra region of New South Wales, about 85 kilometres south of Sydney. We have easy access to and from Sydney via the F6 freeway. We are also within reach of Canberra (242 kilometres away), the Southern Highlands and the South Coast.

Getting to the Botanic Gardens:

When travelling from the North or South take the F6 Freeway and exit at the Keiraville exit. Simply follow the signs to the Botanic Garden.

The gardens open weekdays 7.00am to 5.00pm and weekends 10.00am to 5.00pm (non daylight saving). Weekdays 7.00am to 5.00pm and weekends 10.00am to 6.45pm (daylight saving).

Parking spaces are located in the following areas: off Murphys Avenue, at Gleniffer Brae Manor House and at the Admininstration Centre. An additional parking area at the Discovery Centre is open for special events only. Please refer to the Wollongong Botanic Garden Map below for details.
